Case StudyKebunify — marketplace meets community.
A coursework product concept connecting an agricultural marketplace, community forum, content, and cross-platform interaction without a client brief.

01 · Overview
What the project is
Kebunify was a coursework concept developed from our own product idea rather than a client brief. It was also my first project using Next.js and my first attempt to connect a marketplace, agricultural content, community interaction, and mobile experience within one ecosystem.
02 · Approach
How I approached it
I aligned the web and Android information architecture around the same core journeys: discovering products, reading articles, joining discussions, chatting, and moving through purchase and payment flows. The goal was to keep those journeys recognizable even when each platform used a different layout pattern.
03 · Implementation
From interface to system
The web experience was built with Next.js, with MySQL supporting structured product and content data and Supabase used for realtime chat. The mobile experience used Jetpack Compose, which required adapting from the Java-based Android development I had learned previously while keeping marketplace and content behavior synchronized with desktop.

05 · Outcome
What changed
The coursework prototype brought the marketplace, payment, chat, forum, and article experiences into a shared cross-platform concept spanning desktop web and Android screens.
06 · Learning
What I learned
Kebunify was a major technical transition: learning Next.js, moving from Java-style Android development to Jetpack Compose, implementing realtime interaction, and thinking about consistency across desktop and mobile at the same time.
