Internship / Learning Platform · 2026
DevelopmentRei Academy — industry learning, made clearer.
An end-to-end learning platform for discovering, purchasing, and completing industry-focused video courses with automatic certification.

01 · Overview
What the project is
Rei Academy is a major internship project: an end-to-end learning platform similar in scope to Udemy, built for professional training in Quality and ISO, HSE and SMK3, Sustainability, and Food Safety. Because it handles commercially important workflows and internal business requirements, the project is developed under an NDA and this case study only covers information that can be shown publicly.
02 · Approach
How I approached it
I structured the product around one continuous learner journey: discover a course, understand its instructor, modules, outcomes, assessment, and price, purchase access, continue through video lessons, and receive a certificate after meeting the completion requirements. Reusable patterns keep that journey coherent across the public storefront and the authenticated learning experience.
03 · Implementation
From interface to system
As the full-stack developer, I work across the Next.js interface, Prisma data layer, PostgreSQL database, and Docker-based development environment. The current build already supports course discovery, detailed course information, and video playback. Customer authentication, course purchasing, learning access, progress, and automatic certificate generation are being developed as connected backend-driven flows rather than isolated screens.
04 · System flow
How the pieces connect
A simplified view of the implemented product flow—not a claim about infrastructure that is not public.

06 · Outcome
What changed
The development build now connects the public course journey with a working video-learning foundation. It is not presented as a finished release: customer accounts, transactions, protected course access, completion tracking, and certificate automation remain part of the active roadmap.
07 · Learning
What I learned
This project has been my deepest backend learning experience so far. Its importance, NDA constraints, and connected customer journey have pushed me to think more carefully about data relationships, access control, transaction states, content delivery, and building foundations that can support real product growth.
